Fiep van Bodegom

Fiep van Bodegom (India, 1984) is a writer, critic and translator. She is editor at Extra Extra Magazine and teaches in the Creative Writing programme at Artez University of the Arts. She writes about literature for various publications (such as De Groene Amsterdammer, NRC, De Nederlandse Boekengids) and has published translations, essays and fiction. Van Bodegom regularly appears at (literary) festivals and stages as a panel host and interviewer, including the Winternachten International Literature Festival The Hague, Perdu, Crossing Border and Spui25.

For Constant 101, she was part of the advisory board, and she was one of the authors featured in the Constant special edition of De Gids from December 2021. Van Bodegom’s contribution was called Bij de poort van Isjtar (At the Ishtar Gate). This short story, along with excerpts from Van Bodegom’s novel Het derde deel, expected in Winter 2025, will appear in the forthcoming publication Playing Constant: The Only Constant is Change, Change is the Only Constant. Playing Constant is a publication by Jap Sam Books in collaboration with Zippora Elders and Fondation Constant, reflecting on the Constant 101 project, due spring 2025.
