WORK
Hagenaars was the initiator of the magazine The Dummy Speaks, an associative and visual magazine for, and in collaboration with young people about visual arts. In 2004, Hagenaars created the magazine Mister Motley—with the motto: “Mister Motley ties together life and art”—of which she was editor-in-chief for nine years. The magazine focused on a broad and diverse audience by working with themes such as Empathy, Language or Idealism. Mister Motley’s motto also expresses her personal mission in art: she is always looking for inventive ways to bring contemporary art to a diverse audience, based on her unwavering faith in the power of art.
