René creates exuberant and playful works that are not limited to one genre or medium. Play and discovery are central; the audience participates in the experience. René’s work is often aimed at children, who learn something about world views, social issues and art in a playful way. However, being a child is not limited to age; adults are also challenged to bring out the child in themselves. The combination of art forms, modern techniques and media expressions plays a major role in this. Everything can be a game, as long as you know how to play it.

About Constant

The work of Constant teaches René to build a world in which playfulness and creativity can be the basis of everyone. A new world starts with an idea. Finding ways to spread these ideas is, in my opinion, the role of the artist in the modern world. Play, discovery and creation are always at the forefront of my own work. We, therefore, see New Babylon as the ultimate playground.  A city where play is more than an activity, it is a philosophy of life, a goal in itself. In these respects, Constant’s work is more than a utopia to me. It is an idea to play with. It is a proposal for a new (more fun) future.
