Constant's Fabric Designs Being Put to Use

Between 1953 and 1956 Constant experimented with design and applied arts. On the instigation of Mart Visser, he designed some pieces of furniture for Spectrum Design. In 1956 he created 29 fabric designs of which 5 were actually manufactured [now in the collection of Stedelijk Museum]. 

For the exhibition “Wilde Rokken” at Museum Cobra, the museum suggested we put the other designs to use. The result is several practical objects with a selection of Constant’s Fabric Designs…
